Mostly Procanico (Local name for Trebbiano), with the balance being Malvasia di Candia, Malvasia Toscana, Roscetto, Pedino, Romanesco and Ansonica, from vines young and old.
The fruit was destemmed and macerated for two weeks in tini, before being pressed off to old barrels for a year of élevage. Reflecting the cooler vintage, this is incredibly lifted and fragrant, with refreshing scents of citrus zest and herbs and a clean, salty finish. Perhaps the most immediate and compelling version of this wine we’ve tried in its youth.
